This session focuses on key science-based instructional methods to improve literacy outcomes for students who are learning to read.

We will explore:

• The skills that children need to become strong readers and prevent reading difficulties;
• The components of effective literacy instruction/intervention;
• The instructional routines that teachers can use to maximize their instructional time;
• The assessment measures to monitor progress and guide instruction and interventions
