Teaching Foundational Reading Skills

This session focuses on key science-based instructional methods to improve literacy outcomes for students who are learning to read.
We will explore:
- The skills that children need to become strong readers and prevent reading difficulties;
- The components of effective literacy instruction/intervention;
- The instructional routines that teachers can use to maximize their instructional time;
- The assessment measures to monitor progress and guide instruction and interventions
