The Assessment Process and Interpreting Psychology Reports in the School Setting

April 20, 2023 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Join us for a series of professional development sessions with Dr. Layla Hall.

Dr. Hall is a Clinical Psychologist in Supervised Practice at Surrey Place. She provides counselling, assessment, and consultation services to children and adults with developmental disabilities, and their families, in the city of Toronto, as well as in Indigenous communities in Northern Ontario.

This presentation will provide an overview of screening strategies you can use to identify students who may require formal assessment, as well as an overview of the process involved with psycho-educational or psycho-diagnostic assessment. We will discuss the benefits and consequences of formal diagnosis so that you can support families in making decisions about pursuing an assessment. Finally, we will discuss how to interpret psychology reports so that you can best use the results to benefit students in the school setting.

This is a free session open to everyone. Please click the following link or scan the QR code on the flyer to register today. https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZEkdO2trzIrEtRibU3s5M3ixcAX5Ucj861I
