ACT in the classroom: Supporting students in identifying values and achieving goals
May 9 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Presenter: Lesley Barreira
To be offered to school staff.
Intended target student age: grade 5+
This workshop will use Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) principles to think about fostering a sense of personal identity and values in the children we support. Attendees will learn how to use the ACT values framework to guide children in identifying and achieving goals based on their values. Teaching has relevance to many areas of life, and especially to educational motivation, positive decision making, and transition to high school.
