AES Celebrates 5 Year Anniversary

On April 1, 2018, the Anishinabek Education System (AES) officially opened its doors. The establishment of a new education system is an incredible endeavour, and an exciting journey, that requires the collective efforts of many people. From students and educators to leadership and communities – each plays an important role in building the foundation for a strong and sustainable education system. Since 2018, the AES has grown tremendously!

The Kinoomaadziwin Education Body continues to support communities in language revitalization by developing resources and tools that may be used by the Participating First Nations of the Anishinabek Education System. In the following pages you will find the Anishinaabemowin and Lunaapeew translations for words and sentences related to land and land-based learning.

Dibaajmowin - Newsletter

Dibaajmowin is a bi-monthly newsletter produced by the Kinoomaadziwin Education Body that shares program updates, event information, and education highlights from across the Anishinabek Education System.

2022-2023 KEB Annual Report

The KEB produces an Annual Report in June each year that summarizes the work of the AES over the last fiscal year.  A digital copy of the 2022-2023 KEB Annual Report is now available for reading!

AES: Special Education Guideline

This guideline is intended to be a living document that will be enhanced over time as Participating First Nations develop their community Special Education Plans, Policies, Procedures, or Handbooks (The name of the product is of local choice.) There will be opportunities to share and learn from each other along the way.
