IEPs for School Staff: Creative Solutions for Individualizing Supports and Learning Goals
June 15 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Presenters: Layla Hall & Lesley Barreira
To be offered to school staff
Intended target student age: all ages
Some students have unique needs that limit their ability to benefit from the typical curriculum and learning atmosphere. This workshop will build on our previous introduction to psycho-educational assessment and IEPs to teach attendees how to use students interests and strengths to get creative about individual learning goals and support strategies. In this workshop we will use “lessons from the trenches” and case examples to identify creative strategies to meet needs outlined in a student’s IEP. This workshop will also explore how we can integrate an Indigenous cultural lens and land-based learning into IEPs.
